The awards in the country are close to 120 million euro so far this year

OHL awarded a new highway project in Colombia for more than 41 million euro

OHL, as part of a joint venture, has been awarded the construction of the Quindío section to complete the Crossing of the Central Andes, in Colombia. The contract, valued at 41 million euro (143 billion pesos), has been awarded by the National Roads Institute (INVIAS, by its acronym in Spanish) and adds up to a preceding two contracts awarded this year in the country for a sum of close to 120 million euro.

The contract is part of one of the most important road infrastructures in Colombia and includes the construction, in the Quindío Department, of five tunnels, six bridges, 6.5 km of secondary road and the attention of four critical points.

OHL accumulates more than 120 million euro in awards in Colombia in 2019. In the Colombian capital, the company will carry out the construction of Avenida El Rincón from Avenida Boyacá to Carrera 91, with a price tag of 42 million euro (150 billion pesos), under a contract awarded by the Urban Development Institute. In addition, with a price tag of 35 million euro (121.42 billion pesos), the company will build for Ecopetrol the expansion of the Cúcuta aqueduct that, once completed, will improve access to drinking water for nearly one million inhabitants.

These projects are in addition to the construction of a cement plant with an annual production capacity of 1.4 million tons, the improvement of the Vía Málaga-Los Curo highway, which is also carried out for the National Roads Institute and various works in the mining and manufacturing industries.
